TO READ THE WHOLE STORY AND SEE THE BEST PHOTOS…

In 2008, I was a 25-year-old Swedish/American kid living in Amsterdam, working in the coffeeshop scene. I was present the day Snoop and Willie met to film a segment for the “My Medicine” video, through my friendship with the owner of The Grey Area coffeeshop.

Of the ten people in the room I was the sole person with a still camera. After we smoked a joint that Willie rolled and Snoop began rolling blunts, I started taking photos. I have 40 photos from that session that have never been publicly shown, published or released online. I have a registered copyright on these photographs, preserving this unique cultural artifact.

Snoop has spoken about this legendary encounter with Willie to Jimmy Fallon and People Magazine, but my story covers the untold first half – everything that happened before playing dominoes at the hotel and going to KFC. I was even at The Grey Area the night before, when Willie’s manager came by with one of Snoop’s people to first arrange the 4/20 meeting.
